Announcing the New Status of Book, In Borrowed Houses, a Memoir of Love and Faith amidst War in Lebanon

If you are a peace lover or if you are concerned about the millions of people made homeless, even stateless by Middle East wars, this message could be important to you.

I have made a major change in the status of my book.

The opportunity came to me to distribute the ebook version of In Borrowed Houses in a way that could benefit charities.  I loved the idea that I might support organizations that are serving Syrians, Iraqis, Lebanese, etc., by giving them a portion of the price of every copy that they could sell on their website.

However, there was one big reason why I could not make this work. I had a publisher who stood in the middle between me and any other organization. So, after considerable thought, I decided to sever my relationship with my publisher. It happened that my contract gave me the right to do this three years after publication, and it had been three years.

This explains why I created a slightly new version of my print book under my own name. You will find it on Amazon, along with the Kindle and Nook versions. However, the ebooks are being pushed right now by WAM (Witness As Ministry), an organization with major ministries to the Syrian refugees in Lebanon. I know well some of the people involved in these programs and feel good that I can contribute to their work, using my book.

I hope soon to find other organizations that are ready to promote the book in order to earn for their ministry. (Feel free to suggest a charity you like.)

Actually the system that enables me to do this, without the burden of administration, also enables me to name individuals as “affiliates.” This means that I can appoint anyone as an affiliate and permit them to make a little money by promoting my book. So, if you believe in my book and want to promote the ebook, write to me of your interest, and I will explain the ease with which this system works.
